I saw lots of cameras during the jamboree so if you have some pictures that you'd like to share and they are available on the web let us know and we will link to them from here.
Not forgetting of course you can email them to the main Avon scouts website and I see there is also a photo competition.

Don't forget to clean the bath afterwards
Closing ceremony

The closing ceremony featured the winner of the talent show, an awful lot of balloons and of course a lot of thanks to everyone that contributed to a wonderful jamboree.
There are more pictures on the online gallery
Jamboree on the BBC News
Some of you might have seen the piece about the jamboree on the BBC News this morning but if not it is available on the BBC News website.
The internet tent is now closed

Despite the rain and punishment from hundreds of scouts we only lost three PCs to wear and tear.
But now the internet tent is closed thanks again to BT, EDS, and especially the 107th Whitchurch scouts without whose PCs there would have been no internet tent.

Damp but not dispirited
Despite the dissapointing weather the scouts were still having a ton of fun.
Some of the activties were moved under canvas and the internet and cinema were very popular but many scouts were still braving the elements to try the climbing wall, assault course and the milk crate challenge to name but three.
Despite being hardy and well prepared souls I'm sure the scouts will be pleased the forecast is for a drier weather tomorrow.

What to do?
You would think that the older scouts/explorers would have found some of the things to do young, but that was not the case! Having walked around with a few of the explorers yesterday I found they to liked the bouncy castes just as much as the younger one, they were having a great time seeing who could bounce the highest. They had a go at judo and found it not quite as easy as they thought! A five foot three inches girls pinned down one of the six foot boys, so that he had to concede to get up! The fire work display was fantastic in the evening (all mainly aerial), the music was loud and fitted in well with the loud bangs of the fire works a stirring end to the day!

We now have a online gallery for any pictures that get taken during the jamboree, if they make it to the internet tent.

Ton of Fun
Welcome ALL to our Jamboree.
There is a Ton of activities to enjoy and be challenged by, so make sure that you try everything -why not keep count of all the things you do and see if you can tell me just how many activities there are?
Remember your Scout and Guide laws and think of others, so if you see somewhere or someone that you can help, add that onto one of your activities completed (even if it is picking up rubbish!).
Hope you all have really great camp- Clare (acitivity staff)
